Ontario Curriculum
Our academic curriculum aligns with the fundamental expectations outlined in the Ontario curriculum.
At Tarbiyah Elementary School, the core academic subjects include English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE & Health. While adhering to curriculum expectations, our teachers are empowered and trained to make modifications and adjustments to integrate Islamic principles in all subjects. For example, the study of the water cycle presents an opportunity to delve deeper into the significance of water as a divine blessing from Allah SWT. Through this interdisciplinary approach, we aim to intertwine Islamic teachings with academic knowledge and skills seamlessly..
Islamic Curriculum
TES’s Islamic curriculum integrates comprehensive instruction in Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. In Qur’an, students engage in memorization with tajweed and understanding of the suwar and ayaat along with word-for-word translation. Arabic instruction emphasizes vocabulary development, writing, and grammar skills. Islamic Studies covers a wide range of topics, including Islamic history, the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), stories of the prophets and companions, principles of faith (Aqeedah), prayer (Salaah), supplications (Du’as), and Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh).
Why Choose Tarbiyah Curriculum?
By integrating the Ontario Curriculum with a comprehensive Islamic curriculum, TES offers a unique, faith-based educational experience that prepares students for academic success, personal growth, and character development, all rooted in Islamic values.
